What monsters dwelt in the ancient Martian seas, such that even the Witch Kings feared them. The old scrolls call them aboleth. They were intelligent, alien, and filled with hatred for drylanders. Scholars say they must have died off with the drying of Mars' seas. But rumors persist that they survive in pockets of underwater lakes and seas, scheming for their return.
